Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving isn't always celebrated by my family but when it is we usually have a great time. My family always makes food and invites a lot of relatives to come over and feast with us, most of our family lives a great distance away so sometimes not everyone makes it.  When my family does make it we eat, laugh, catch up, and have a good time.

What this holiday means to me is a very big deal because I get to see my cousins and family members some of which I haven't seen in almost a year. Thanksgiving is important to me because it lets everybody know what you should truly be thankful for not just for possessions but for family. Usually during the time off nothing special happens because my mom still goes to work but i'm thankful for my mom having a job.

Thanksgiving is a special holiday to me and my family because we let each other know that we appreciate one another. Thats all we really do during the break we show each other that we are thankful for still being alive and thankful that we have a stable home. Most of all we let each other know we love each other and we always will.

Art

Graffiti

I'm not really into any type of art, but when it comes to graffiti my whole mind changes. To me graffiti is a way to express the art thats trapped in your mind, this type of art is more interesting and just pops out more. Graffiti is isn't liked well because of kids "tagging" over city property, but when the city does give permission to professional taggers or "artists" the out come is very beautiful.

I think graffiti is looked as street art, which is what I am in to. Most people however refuse to look at it as art because it has nothing to do with the art back then. Graffiti is modern art, art that has definitely changed but either way you look at it it's art and something very hard to do. 

Extra Credit

No I have not seen any david Blaine specials, how ever I really did like the magic because it was really weird to see him do all these tricks and illusions. I really did like watching the special because it entertained me and I thought it was really interesting since I don't really watch magic at all. 

My favorite illusion that he did on the special was the last one on the show, when he stuck a needle in his arm and had the other guy freaking out. This was my favorite because of the guys reaction and the way david blaine faked or looked to fake his pain. In this act david got a very large needle and started to slowly push it through his arm, eventually the needle came out the other side it went in. When he pulled it out there were no scares or blood it was like nothing had happened to him.

The illusion I liked the least would have been the kerosine trick when he learns to vomit all the water he drinks, the reason on why I liked this one the least is because I had seen it before. Also another reason would be because the image of him vomiting the water and kerosine back out to me is kind of disturbing. I would definitely watch his next special because its very entertaining in my eyes, and I would rate the show a 10.

Perserverence

If I had to choose between getting $50 right now, or wait 1 full year and get $100. In my opinion I would choose the $100 because if you wait for 1 year, the day you get the money may be the time you actually need it. I think its best to wait because it has something to do with perseverance whatever your goal may be you have to wait to achieve it, so having to wait for $100 will be a start on being patient but not giving up.


I would think that everybody should definitely have long term goals, weather you know of them yet is another question. I definitely have long term goals, my goals would be to go to college and get the best education I can so I can live the best life I can achieve. My plans to achieve this are finding a job and going to college at the same time. Going to work and school at the same time is definitely going to be a challenge but I know that i'm going to need perseverance to achieve my goals without it I would not even be trying.

Video Games

#5 Battle Field 3

I like battle field because it is a slow pace game. This game makes you think before you act. It is my least favorite game because I personally like fast pace games & this game is too slow for me.

#4 Grand Theft Auto San Andres

Grand Theft Auto is a very interesting game and it very fun to play. Gta is known for its violence and free roaming because in this game you can do whatever it is you want to do. However I find this game to get a little bit repetitive because you do the same thing over and over.

#3 Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast

Dragon Ball Z has always been my favorite anime. I like to play this video game because I get to play as my favorite characters. This game is 3rd on my list because its very fun and also challenging because you fight against friends.

#2 Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Call Of Duty is overall the best franchise in my opinion. Mw3 is a very competitive game because you have to constantly be watching your back to make sure you don't get killed. This game is number 2 on my list because I like these type of games, because they are fast pace and hard to play.

#1  Call Of Duty Black Ops 2

Black ops 2 is my favorite game because last year they introduced a game mode called league play, in this game mode you play against competitive people. Not only is it harder to get kill streaks but its also harder to stay alive if you don't have your teams support. Also this game continued and ended the story line of zombies which was amazing.

Stranded

If I were to be stranded on a deserted island I would take a swiss army knife. I would take this knife for self defense purposes and also to cut down anything I need to. I would also use it to cut down paths and also to mark areas i've already been to. Using this knife it allows me to not only to protect myself but also mark places i've been to so I could get around a lot easier without getting lost.

My second item that I would bring would be flint and steel. Having flint and steel is vey important because I could use them to start a fire at anytime of my choosing. Having fire is important as well because the fire will keep me warm and keep me from freezing to death. So overall flint and steel is very important for my survival without it I could freeze to death.

The finale thing I would take with me is apples. The reason on why I would take apples is simple, apples are nutritious and also has seeds inside them. If I plant those seeds it would allow me to get more apples and not completely starve to death, also apples have juice in them I would use that to hydrate me.

Goku is a fictional character in a series called Dragon Ball Z. However there are 3 different series, there is Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and the final one is Dragon Ball Gt. In Dragon Ball he starts off as a child learning to fight or do mix martial arts. In Dragon Ball Z he starts to fight super villains and gets more powerful through out each battle. In the last one Dragon Ball Gt Goku's journey comes to end.

Goku is an alien from another planet named Planet Vegeta. He was originally sent to earth to destroy it, but when he fell from a cliff and landed on his head he forgot what he was sent for. With no memory of his previous life he becomes the protecter of earth and fights to protect every living being on earth.

Goku has several powers and he uses them all for good. Goku has many transformations with each one he gains more power and becomes stronger. He is a role model so to speak because even though he is a fictional character he shows traits of generous people. My Wisdom

My wisdom to my kids would be letting them know there are a lot of drugs out in the world. I would tell them that there will be a point in their life when friends or people will tell them to try a drug, I would do the best I can to let them know the effects of the drugs. After I explain all the long term affects of the drugs, It would be up to them to make their decision and hopefully make the right one.

I would also show them these type of pictures and let them know that it could always happen to them. I would let them know that every drug has it's own affects and in some cases even death. I'l show them the movie "Behind The Orange Curtain" to show them the dangers and consequences of messing with drugs. Drugs will ruin your life and there is no way around that if you use drugs the drug will use up your entire life until your dead or nearly dead.

 

Heroin

I think Heroin is a extremely dangerous drug, my thoughts of this drug are nothing but negative. This drug takes many peoples life away and it causes really bad after affects to those who survive the drug. One out of four people that try heroin for the first time get addicted. Over time people build a tolerance and need more of the drug to get the same high.

In a short amount of time, regular heroin use destroys the body. Common conditions that plague heroin users include infection of the heart lining and valves, liver disease, lung disease, and hepatitis and HIV/AIDS from needle use. Needless to say heroin has many cons and plenty of bad long term affects. I do not ever plan on getting involved in a drug this bad and dangerous.

In my opinion smoking cigarettes is not that bad. Smoking can calm some people down and relax them enough to get them through the day. But at the same time smoking can cause a lot of very bad diseases. Smoking cigarettes can cause cancer, and can even be the cause of having a stroke and even death.

I started smoking because I felt so much pressure in school and i just want something to relieve stress. My friends had told me it was a good way to give yourself a break so I tried it, and I've been smoking ever since. I try not to smoke as much because I don't want to end up like the people in the commercials.

My Favorite Band

My favorite band is Five Finger Death Punch. I love their music because, it relates to a lot of people and they also write music off real events that could happen to any person. The band is very unique and has there own still to heavy metal.

There music is a type of heavy metal, but has nothing to do with it. They don't use all the things normal heavy metal bands use, their music is more relaxing and entertaining. In this band they have one singer, two guitarist, and one drummer.

My favorite song so far of this band would most likely be Coming Down because it talks about how one friend can stop another from committing suicide. What makes this band so good is their ability to connect with their fans. They help many people with their music and inspire people to keep living and try to make a better life for themselves.

My Favorite Hobby

I believe hobbies are very important because, without them you would have a boring life. Hobbies are a good way to pass the time and always keep yourself entertained and keep your mind active. Without hobbies you can get fat and loose muscle in your bones, everybody needs a hobby to keep them self fit and entertained.

Track is my favorite hobby because it gives me a good and healthy way to pass my time. Running isn't hard at all, what's hard is having the endurance to run for a certain amount of time non-stop. Doing this sport or hobby isn't necessarily easy either, you have to be dedicated and committed to running in order to strive and push yourself to be successful.

In my personal opinion I truly believe that track and field is a sport that a lot of kids can be interested in.   The reason kids could be interested in this sport is because, a lot of kids enjoy to run. Everybody likes to stay fit and do it while doing something they enjoy to do and that is running.

Craigslist Joe

My favorite movie is called Craigslist Joe. This movie is presented by Zach Galifanakis. This movie is a very good movie, you will follow Zach in his wild journeys around the world.

In this movie Joe is a normal guy living his life, he has a good job and is holding his own in the world. However he quickly realizes that there are not many generous people in the world anymore. Joe makes it his mission to survive in the world for a month based of people's generosity.

This is my favorite movie because, it shows that there are still nice and kind people in the world. This movie opens your eyes and helps you see all the wonders in the world and, makes you cherish the little things in life. Craigslist joe is my favorite movie because it helps you notice that even random strangers can be nice to one another.

GMOs

GMOs are genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other plants and animals. Right now GMOs in the market offer enhanced nutrition. Although there has been a lot of good signs of GMOs there has also been bad ones, a growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems. Monsanto Is a company that helps provide farmers with their resources so that they don't need to waste earths natural resources.

My opinion of GMOs is that they can be good for you but they can also be very bad. I do not understand all of the factors but from what I have read I do understand that, GMOs are not natural or come from the earth. Genetically modified food could be very dangerous and In my opinion I believe that they should stick to growing food off the ground and not modify it.

Being Charitable

The charity that I choose to write about is the Susan G Komen charity. This charity is for the people with breast cancer, they have invested about 2 million dollars and have the become the best charity with the most progress.

This charity is important to me and personal to me because two of my aunts are fighting breast cancer. This charity shows me that there are people fighting to end breast cancer. In a way this charity also gives me hope that one day nobody else will have to lose a loved one to a disease this deadly. This campaign is important to me because I don't want to loose any family member to it.

Another reason that I find this charity very important is that nobody should loose a loved one to something this horrible. Breast cancer has been around for a long time and everyone believes it is time to end it. Susan G komen is important to many people and is something people count on, not only do people believe in the cause but many support and donate to it daily. I support the cause and I wait for the day when breast cancer no longer exists.

My Expertise

Alot of diffrent people have lots of diffrent skills or hobbies. Certain people have wierd skills or hobbies, I am actually very intreasted in criminal justice or human behavior. I spend alot of time watching some show called " Criminal Minds" this show intreasts me because it studys human behavior. Studying human behavior is a unique skill and not a lot of people can do it.

To study human behavior you have to be in a special team called the B.A.U. This team specializes in murders, child abduction, and serial killers. They study what the killer did and didn't do and use those clues to anticipate his next moves and catch him. This is somthing i study closely because it can be very use full. For example the reason being on why people bite thier inner lip is because they are either guilty or hiding key information.

I would not consider myself an expert at this quite yet, but I do study it and take it very serious. This is my hobby and what I do on my spare time. This is important to me because this is what I hope to be when I grow up, I realize I got the idea from a television show but I found this very interesting.

The best thing I did this summer

The best thing I did this summer was going to the fair. It was the best thing I did because I didn't really go out much. When I went to the fair I saw a lot of old friends and it felt good to know that they are doing well in their lives.  The fair was a lot of full also because I went on a lot of rides and ate so much food.

If I had to choose what was the second best thing I did this summer it would be going to san Clemente. Going over there was fun because it's a really beautiful city, and the beaches are beautiful as well. When I was over there I went to the beach and spent time with my family. It was real fun and I hope to go there again soon.
